Galaxy screens vs. the competition
Samsung's Ultra models carry the highest pixel densities in mainstream phones (~500 PPI) thanks to QHD+ panels, and use slightly taller aspect ratios than iPhones. Note the difference between panel resolution and the default rendering resolution described in the FAQ — spec sheets quote the former. Compare any Galaxy with an iPhone in the visual comparison tool.
Frequently asked questions
› What screen sizes do Samsung Galaxy phones have?
The flagship S series runs from 6.2″ (Galaxy S25) to 6.9″ (S25 Ultra). Mid-range A-series models are typically 6.4–6.7″.
› Why does my Galaxy report a smaller resolution than its spec?
Galaxy flagships ship with display resolution set to FHD+ (1080-wide) by default to save battery, even though the panel is QHD+ (1440-wide). You can switch to native resolution in Settings → Display → Screen resolution.
› What viewport do Galaxy phones use for websites?
Most Galaxy models report a 360 × 780 CSS-pixel viewport (the Ultra: 384 px wide). This is narrower than iPhones, which is why 360 px remains the safest minimum width for responsive design.
